2013 Grenache Rosé

At the winery, the grapes for our Grenache Rosé were destemmed in preparation for fermentation, which occurred at a maximum temperature of 75°F.  After a brief fermentation, the juice was pressed off and fermentation concluded at a cool 60°F. This process created the deep ruby color and delicate flavors of strawberry and cherry desired for our Rosé.  We also saignéed a portion of this wine and blended it in with a lot that was fermented with in contact with skins.

Tasting Notes

Our Columbia Winery Grenache Rosé opens with intense aromas of Bing cherry, strawberry and cranberry that continue to the palate. A refreshingly zingy acidity and crisp finish make this Grenache Rosé the perfect summertime wine. Enjoy this wine with a fresh garden salad topped with cranberry vinaigrette or with your favorite cheeses and prosciutto.
