The grapes for our 2012 Moscato were selected from Yakima Valley, which is ideal for growing grape varieties with excellent natural acidity and fruit flavors. In 2012, Yakima Valley, a sub-AVA of the larger Columbia Valley, had an outstanding vintage, with long, sunny days and cool nights that fostered steady ripening. This has translated nicely to wines of incredible depth, structure and intensity, with well-balanced natural acidity.
Our Columbia Winery Moscato offers aromas of peach, orange blossoms and ripe tropical fruits. On the palate, the bright fruit characteristics continue with flavors of star fruit and peach, culminating in a long, luscious finish. Enjoy this Moscato as an aperitif or with seafood, crab or spicy Asian fare.
