Winemaking Notes

The grapes for Stratos White Blend were destemmed, membrane pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures. Following fermentation, Winemaker Sean Hails artfully put together just the right blend of grapes to create a wine that showcases the expressive, high quality of white grapes grown in the Columbia Valley.

Tasting Notes

With a goal of creating a delightful white blend with a refreshing taste, Winemaker Sean Hails set his sights on vines that sprawl across premier Yakima Valley vineyards. This wine is a showcase of a Sauvignon Blanc-based blend, offering forward notes of tropical fruit, citrus and a touch of fresh cut grass. The addition of 14% Viognier layers the wine with complexity as well as floral nuances and flavors of ripe peach, while 5% Chardonnay adds creaminess to the palate. Completely balanced acidity, this wine is a great pairing with fresh steamed mussels in white wine and garlic.
