Whether you are considering a ceremony on our secluded patio or a cozy indoor service near the fireplace, our exceptional facility offers both. With unique photo settings, such as our English Garden, the possibilities are endless.

OUR FACILITIES

Tastefully decorated in warm earth tones with two gas fireplaces, the Columbia Room can comfortably accommodate groups up to 300 people. Additionally, the Columbia Room can be divided, creating the following two rooms that each can accommodate up to 75 guests for seated dinners. The Milestone Room, with a wall of windows and French doors, opens onto a spacious and private patio. The Cellarmaster Room offers elegant privacy with controlled lighting. We can also offer a microphone, simple audio system, full dropdown screen and projector for a $200 setup fee. Additional AV service can be provided.

CEREMONY FEE

A $500.00 Ceremony Fee will be charged for wedding ceremonies. This fee covers the one-hour rehearsal time (usually scheduled the Thursday prior to the ceremony ) as well as the use of the Bride's Room the day of the event, and early access (up to 1 ½ hours) for pictures.

TASTING ROOM

Our Tasting Room is open to the public seven days a week from 11 am to 6 pm; 7pm on Fridays. Rentals are available after hours. Rates mirror the Columbia Room. Security fees may apply.

Private tastings, hosted by a Columbia Winery educator, are also available. All private tastings are fee based and must be scheduled one week prior to your event.

WINE PURCHASE

All wine purchased for an event is purchased through Columbia Winery in case sales only; no individual bottle sales. A $12 minimum per person wine spend is required at the event for each guest over 21 years of age. This agreement allows you to purchase cases from the current and available vintages and varietals for the event. Wines not poured at the event are the property of the customer and are to be removed at the conclusion of the event. A guest count of the event is required one week in advance in collaboration with the caterers final guest count. A credit card on file will be charged for this fee prior to the event for the wine purchase.

CATERING

All food and beverage (wine excluded) services are provided by our caterers, Lisa Dupar Catering, A Platinum Event and John Howie, Seastar Restaurant Catering. Due to the current King County Health recommendations, prepared foods utilized for banquet events are not allowed to leave the premises. With the exception of wedding cakes, all food and beverage (wine excluded) must be purchased through and provided by our preferred caterers. In addition, the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages is regulated by the Washington State Liquor Control Board. Columbia Winery and our preferred caterers are responsible for the administration and adherence to these regulations. It is the policy that no beverage of any kind may be brought in the winery. All food and beverage charges are subject to a 12.5% service fee, applicable to Washington State sales tax and 20% gratuity through your selected caterer.

PARKING

Columbia Winery has 140 complementary parking spaces. To ensure adequate parking, please encourage your guests to carpool. Parking for guests is designated in the southwest area of the parking lot. Your Columbia Winery Event Manager can provide you with valet service referrals.

JANITORIAL SERVICE FEE

A non-refundable $150 cleaning fee per function will be added to the final contract.

RESERVATIONS

The reservation is complete only with a receipt of non-refundable deposit and a signed room rental agreement. The remaining balance, if any, must be paid in full 60 days prior to the event.

CANCELLATIONS

A cancellation must be received 90 days prior to your event or you will be charged the full room rental rate.

BANQUEST FACILITY POLICY

  • Columbia Winery is a non-smoking establishment. However, ashtrays are available in designated areas.
  • In the event that any of the guests in your group has food allergies, please inform the caterers of the names of these individuals and the nature of their allergies so we can take the necessary precautions when preparing their food.
  • All candles must be housed in glass or metal containers.
  • The use of nails, tacks, pushpins, tape or glue is prohibited.
  • Helium balloons may be utilized for décor, but must be secured. In the case of a released balloon, the Hosting Party shall be assessed the retrieval fee.
  • ALL food and beverage consumed on the premises must be purchased and served by the caterers.
  • The Hosting Party shall be responsible for ALL items brought into the facility by the Hosting Party and their guests. This shall include boxes, indoor and outdoor décor (floral, candles, etc.)
  • Photography is permitted on the grounds of the Columbia Winery. When requesting pictures in the Turret Room, staircase or balcony, supervision is required.
  • Columbia Winery will not assume any responsibility for any damages to or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the winery prior to, during or following any event.
  • All rehearsals are typically scheduled for the Thursday prior to the wedding. The date of rehearsal may be subject to change based on availability. Please note that each rehearsal is not guaranteed to be in the exact location of the ceremony, but may be administered in another area within the facility.
  • Columbia Winery will not assume any responsibility for damages to or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the winery prior to, during or following any event.

 

WEDDING COORDINATIOR CHECKLIST

The following is a list of your wedding coordinator’s responsibilities on the day of your rehearsal and wedding at Columbia Winery. Your event manager will provide you a list of preferred coordinators if requested.

REHERSAL

  • Organize the rehearsal and timing of activities.
  • Explain the different duties of the wedding party – escorts/users, gift table, guest book attendant, packing and removing items from all rooms by designated time.
  • Arrange participants.

WEDDING DAY

  • Coordinate and communicate vendors to make sure they are on time and setup is complete.
  • Assembly and setup of chair covers, table décor and favors.
  • Arrange delivery, setup and pick up of rental equipment.
  • Communicating announcements and transitions with DJ or MC.
  • Clean out bridal and groom’s room and vendor storage areas by designated time.

WEDDING CEREMONY

  • Set out programs.
  • Communicate with ceremony officiant.
  • Communicate when to place aisle runner to caterer.
  • Prior to ceremony, line up wedding party to be escorted.
  • Cue musicians.
  • Cue wedding party for walk down aisle.

SOCIAL

  • Have marriage license ready to sign with witnesses and officiant.
  • Coordinate photo time for bride and groom.
  • Have bride and groom announced to party.
  • Assist with placing favors, menus, candles and décor at tables.
  • Coordinate receiving lines.

RECEPTION

  • Act as a liaison between catering and bride/groom and all vendors.
  • Coordinate reception timeline with all vendors and catering.
  • Arrange for gift transportation at end of evening.
  • Responsible for cake knife and serving/toasting glasses.
  • Responsible for assigning who is taking flowers, decorations, cake top, guest book and collecting cameras.
     

Please note that these are general guidelines and responsibilities. Further responsibilities will be agreed upon between wedding coordinator and bride and groom.
